Easter Weekend

Who was having more fun NIKI or the kids!!

On saturday morning we went to the ball park for the easter egg hunt. The entire event from the time we got out of the car and did the hunt lasted about 5 minutes. Savannah got a few eggs in her basket, and then it was over. It was kind of a crapy day for a easter egg hunt but she had a lot of fun. After it was over all over of the cousins came to my house for easter egg coloring and lunch. It was so much fun, and savannah loved having everyone over. They all did really good and we had some pretty cool eggs.

Memories of our dog Bailee

Ryan and I got Bailee before we were even married when we lived in Minnesota in 2001. We decided we wanted a dog so we went to the pet store looking for a yellow lab. When we got there we saw Bailee just sitting in her kennel. She was so tiny only 2.2 pounds, and a ball of fur. We took her home that day. We took her everywhere, even on the airplane. She was such a great dog. She loved Savannah from the time we brought her home. She loved to be around people, go for car rides, go camping. She let Savannah do whatever she wanted. She would put a leash on her and go in circles in the garage. She was definitely part of our family. Last week I took her to the vet cause she was not herself, and not eating well. They drew blood and a CT scan and she had Autoimmune Hemolytic anemia. Her body was attacking her Red Blood cells and her liver was enlarged and her lung was collapsing. There was not a lot they could do, we put her on steroids hoping to help, but on Saturday we had to put her to sleep. We have had so many great memories with her, and we will miss her very much!!

Disney on Ice March 14, 2009

Every year when I was a kid, my parents would take us to disney on ice. I remember how much fun we had and how excited we were to go every year. We decided to take savannah last year and she loved it, So we went again this year. We were really close this year and she waved at the characters the entire time. When I went to go in, the guy at the doors made me take my camera back to the car, so I was without a camera. Then I was really mad cuz almost everyone else in there had one. I must have went through the wrong door. Anyway we had a really great time.

A Day for Making Cupcakes!!

Today was just a day for hanging out. Savannah wanted to make cupcakes, and get her nails painted so that is pretty much what we did. We also made a chocolate cake and took it to her papa. (just thought I would post a couple new pics).

So I haven't put much on my blog lately, but Savannah is still growing up so fast!! Sometimes I really need to get on and put a few things on here that she really loves, because I want to remember everything she does and it is so easy to forget. She is going to preschool 2 days a week and she goes to dance on Wednesdays. She is learning how to tap, and is really liking it!! She is really into cooking, puzzles, and playing cards (not 21, but UNO) Initially we would let her win, but now she beats all of us for REAL!! She loves it. She could play game after game. She loves music too. I asked her if she wanted to play an instrument and she said she wanted to play the microphone!! Is that considered an instrument. She has a HUGE imagination and is starting to make up stories and songs. She is so much fun and I love this age. She is really excited to have a new cousin. The other day she asked me what I thought a good name would be for her new cousin, and I had to tell her Brooke and Zeke would probably decide. She thinks it is a boy and she said Tyler is a cool name, to find out there is a Tyler at her school. And as for now she told me she wants to be a ballerina when she grows up!!

Thanks to Stewart and Betsy we are all learning how to make all kinds of new food. It has been so much fun. We are sick eating out in vernal because there is no where to go and it is kind of hard with all the kids. We have been doing theme nights. This time was Italian night so Betsy made this amazing pizza dough (little personal pans) and we had a million different toppings. We made a really yummy salad and put in on top of the pizza. Elan brought Italian cream cake, Brooke made brushetta, and we had tiramisu too! We had a great time. The house was crazy, the twins are talking now, well Ellie loves to scream, and Hayden, Savannah and Laney tore up Savannah's room!! Thanks Betsy and Stewart too for all the yummy food from the last couple of weekends!!
